Good but a bit cold-- size up!

They are good so far, but I expected the sizing to be a bit more generous. I sized up one size to be able to wear thick socks, but find that I should have sized up 2 sizes to wear 2 pairs of thick socks because the boots are very cold when doing winter/cold-weather hiking. This is probably due to the thinner sole (though with very nice lugs). Maybe great hikers for warm weather? Adequate width-- though not overly wide. I have relatively tall/high feet and the boots struggle to accommodate a bit, though is manageable.
